Doing this cover was amazing for me!
Well, this is my book, and the publisher hired me to draw it my way. Even though they usually have their own artists, they asked me to draw my vision of the book. I must confess it was hard to imagine how the main character would be. I tried many different hair styles, but when I ended up with this one, I felt relieved.
The main character is not a hero, but a poor boy who does something stupid and ends up turning into a dragon.
My favourite parts to do were the face expression, the fire in his hand and the details on the egg. Not that they weres easy, but especially because they were challenges and I got really satisfied with the results.
