Analog Fantasies, Analog Memories, Analog Diaries

This series captures those moments when I find myself longing for the simplicity of my childhood years. Back then, life was uncomplicated, devoid of the internet's pervasive influence. We had technologies like VCRs (preceding Betamax), cassette players, and bulky televisions - tools of entertainment, not dictators of our every action. Now, as I navigate an age where the baby boomer generation - parents, uncles, aunties gradually depart this world, a natural yet poignant part of life's cycle, I can't help but feel a sense of loss. It's during these reflective times that I yearn to revisit my youth, to relive those formative days just once more, to cherish moments with those who shaped me and my fellow generation Xers. This series is a tribute to an era that coined 'hip,' to wind-up toy robots and bell-bottom pants, to mirror balls and James Dean, to vinyl players and cars inspired by astro flight. There's a certain comfort in occasionally indulging in the fantasy of returning to the 70s and 80s.
