I'm Glad for Where I Am

Rachel Cruze has always been passionate about helping her audience get their money in order and create a life they love. She developed this idea for a kids' book series that gives parents a way to teach their kids some of the key ingredients to having a fulfilling life: gratitude, contentment, and generosity. This second book in the series unpacks what gratitude looks like. Our goal for the creative execution was to develop warm and friendly art that wasn't too era-specific and could stand the test of time. Through a series of interviews we found just the right artist in Lauren. She too was energized by the direction and mission Rachel was on to provide parents with a supportive story series to. Lauren's illustration style was right on target with what we were hoping for and brought just the right touches to the story. It was so fun watching this story come to life in these beautifully illustrated pages. Initially we were aiming for a true board book format, but because of logistical challenges we opted for a hardcover with heavy cardstock pages. The result was even better than expected and actually helped the book skew a bit older, which is perfect for young children just learning to read on their own. The book has since received tons of praise and promotion and landed on the best seller list for children's books the week of it's release.
