Mission Statement
Utilising innovative systems that enhance ecologically sound design, the Stanley Cove re-development endeavours to reach a new audience for sustainable practice. Taking advantage of the diverse exposure the sitehas to offer, this highly visible building aims to demonstrate and promote sustainable ideals within our communityand generate a shift towards climate responsive design.Architecture provides a catalyst for social, economic and sustainable interaction. It is our responsibility to not onlypromote this interaction but to focus it towards the need for change in the way we address sustainability now andin the future.
Design
For this the two passive design systems of solar chimneys and green roof technology’s were employed andconfigured as the elementary aesthetic traits of the structure to which secondary motives, of established usescirculation etc., would branch off leaving little in the way of distractions to the awareness of the design as anexemplary structure, showcasing and popularizing the notions of environmental sustainability.
