Rise of The Guardians / OXX Clothing Campaign
In Summery, our brief was to create a media and design campaign, in order to accompany the rollout of a book, clothing range, fashion and possibly a movie for the Parvathy Ramachandra Charitable Trust. This would be a three tiered approach, while still having to maintain a common link, the book and the movie would encompass the entertainment tier, drawing attention to the other facets of the campaign, while also brining income for the trust.
The clothing line sole purpose is to bring income for the trust, through an affordable and stylish brand for ages 16-24
And Finally an awareness campaign to advertise the other facets, as well an to inspire a moral awakening of community, this would be done through hands on programs, and the entrainment media.

This 300x200x60cm standee would have 3 layers, the first being the face, second, the main board with the info on, as well as the 3D text, and finally the characters in the background, the whole standee would be backlit, with preferably little light in the front, so the different layers would cast shadows on one another.
The eyes of the characters would be glowing in their respective colours.
With the depth created by layers, and lighting, this would make an eye catching display, though used to market the movie, it would be a quick edit of the middle board to change the relevant information, making this standee usable for all areas of the campaign.

The fashion show part of the campaign would start with invitation sent out via traditional media (gloss printed A6 flyers), posters of various sizes (use of vector art enables this and finally via social media (especially formatted for cellphones)
The dark pattern background and use of the graphical style from the film creates a feel of quality and class, with the accessibility of “low brow art” that fits well with the OXX brand, while still maintaining the dark verses light contrast carried out through the campaign
 
 
 
Inspired by Ndebele patterns and military insignia, the OXX logo is bold, like it’s brand,
The design can be deconstructed to be used in patterns, and as elements in the clothing, as well as other designs in the campaign.
 
 
 
Pull-Up Banners.
 
 
To create an interest and a following on social media, I decided to use stickers that would require the viewers curiosity to find out they mean, typing #esseheros or even esseheros into Google would bring the viewer to an OXX linked site in the top results.
“Esse heros” is Latin for “be a guardian” with the visual style and use of Latin, this gives the style that this is an ancient mark, linking with the Rise of the Guardians, illuminati, an ancient order, et cetera
