I had the privilege of collaborating with a seasoned paramedic from West Des Moines to develop a bystander resource handout. This card, intended for individuals present during traumatic incidents or those who have assisted before emergency responders arrive, offers guidance from medical and psychological experts to help manage the stress of such situations. It also includes an offer for free CPR training. The handout was aligned with West Des Moines’ branding and went through rigorous approval processes involving Division Fire and EMS Chiefs before being finalized and distributed.
