Project: Climbing Magazine 

As art director of this national award winning publication I oversaw all aspects design and photography. Single-handedly producing 19 issues a year. Art director, designer, photo editor, manager, and production coordinator were all hats I wore while overseeing this title. Cover and feature design were some of my favorite parts of the magazine. Maybe because they were the most challenging and rewarding. Great covers were always the perfect blending of photography and typography. Good feature design really requires jumping in with both feet and understanding the editorial direction and author's perspective. Collaborating with the features editor I always tried to formulate a cohesive story concept before committing to a design path.
