Fort this project I looked at a variety of apps, including travel apps, apps for task lists, to-do lists, bucket lists, for memories and so on. A few examples were 'countriesBeen', 'Polarsteps', 'iBucket', 'Bucket List', etc. While a lot of these apps were well built, none of these apps, specifically captured the actual feel of creating a bucketlist, similar to scrapbooking your adventures. The inspiration for this app was definitely from the movie 'up' and i wanted to create a similar old school vibe on a digital platform.
Experimenting with different splash screens, but in the end i chose the one below to give it a vintage look as well as including something that would fit the theme such as the compass.
