Foam Clay Figurine Project

                                                  Clay Figurine Project
The first step of completing my clay figurine project was to brainstorm ideas of what I could make. The first things that came to mind were Parry the Platypus and a cat. So, I drew two sketches, one being a cat and the other being parry the platypus. I then colored them and labeled each part so I could clearly see exactly what I needed to do.
After completing my two sketches, I had to turn them into prototypes using play dough. Thanks to the previous practice we did with the different play dough techniques, it was not as hard to make different play dough shapes then I thought it would be. Using different tools, I was able to make the desired parts I needed to bring my sketches to life.
Since I had already done it with playdough, recreating my sketch using a different material, clay, was a piece of cake. The hardest part of this whole project was, in my opinion, thinking of a prop for my masterpiece. Since Poopy was mostly blue, I figured that a blue background would suit him the most. The boat was my desired prop, and I knew that adding a little island using real materials would enhance my project greatly. Overall, I am very proud of my artwork.
