Commissioned Album Cover Art : 'Suicide by Slim-jim ft. Jinx'
This was another commissioned project. An album cover was to be designed for an upcoming song titled 'Suicide'. Both the artists were new to the industry and this was their first official release. This artwork was used as paperback as well as for the Spotify version of the song. The artist expected me to use my own unique art style, which I was still experimenting in. This illustration was a result of quick explorations. The selection of the typeface and the colour palette was done alongside the artists themselves.
The artists intended to put forth a devastating story about self harm. So they wanted the album cover to be serious, something that denotes the heaviness of the subject that is being discussed. They also wanted the illustration to be new and hip, to make them stand out from other artists as someone who are bringing about new age hip-hop to the industry.
