The danger is gone.
The difficulties came to an end.
The heavy burden was cast off.
Liberation has begun.
It’s time to wake up the ancestors.
To follow the path written in stars.
He was sitting by the fire when he heard me approaching. He turned towards me and asked, "Are you still looking for your story?"
"I think I am my story," I replied. "It’s not something I can find."
"That’s what you think," he said. "But in reality, it’s possible to find your story. You can choose one you like and follow it. Stories are like rivers. People who don’t know it become prisoners of the story they were born into, not knowing they have a choice."
"Does finding your story help you get faster to your destination? To a place that’s right for your soul?" I asked.
"It depends. It’s complicated. There is no such thing as the 'right place.' The place is never right because the nature of life is constant change."
"But you seem fine staying in the same place," I observed.
"It may seem like it, but isn’t that place changing all the time? What is important is experiencing and noticing these changes. If you can see them while staying in the same place, you won’t be staying in the same place. If you can’t, you will fall into routines and patterns, and eventually stop. And that’s when your soul starts slowly dying."
