The Marble Sheet industry from Italy exposes their work at international expositions like Marmomac at Verona. For that purpose and arrange of variations of how the product can be used is created. This images (CGI) need to physically and accurately represent how light interacts with marble materials, starting from calibrated textures obtained directly from source material at specific studio set composition and controlled variables. This is a very technical work, different from most rendered images in that at latter stage, the images will be tested against their counterpart in a real studio to check accuracy.
