2014I should meet many people who do not know anyone personally who has been raped or molested as a child. But I can't remember seeing a newspaper without a rape or molestation charge in it somewhere, and when I ask groups how many people know someone personally with a history of molestation, almost always, every hand in the room goes up.

Have been following the #meToo 2023 allegations against several popular Taiwan celebrities, and have been waiting for some form of conviction to happen.
I did not expect the news coverage on Mickey Huang (who also faced sexual misconduct in 2023) to further develop into a case where police found purchased videos featuring child abuse on his portable hard drive. He was ordered to pay a fine of TWD 1.2 million and write a letter of repentance.
When this 'storm' has subside, he will reappear on screens, be applauded again for his 'talent' by people who knew or did not know. While the victims of his crimes struggle to not shun their faces at his recurring presence. I shudder at the thought of that.
