The Kolam Project

The Kolam Project
The Kolam project originated as a 36 Days of Type endeavour, where letterforms were intricately crafted from the rich Kolam motifs—a traditional art form akin to Rangoli and Alpona, prevalent across various regions of India. These motifs, deeply rooted in nature, draw inspiration from elements such as flowers, leaves, birds, and fish. Over time, this project organically expanded into a diverse array of merchandise, including table coasters, small notebooks, stickers, and more. By infusing these everyday items with the essence of Kolam, the project imbues them with a distinctive cultural charm and aesthetic appeal.
