MERCH DESIGN FOR A BAND.

Visual identity and merch design I created for the Prague based post-punk shoegaze band Cold Venus Revisited. 

For this T-shirt design, the concept was to integrate various printing techniques and embrace the individuality of the process.

Initially, I hand-carved the linocut design onto a frame, then digitized it and incorporated the band's name to finalize the front side of the T-shirt design. For the back side, I selected a random section of the linocut design and added the band's abbreviated name (CVR) to evoke a logo-like impression.

The entire design was then screen-printed to embrace the DIY ethos.

Another T-shirt and tote bag design was inspired by the dark aesthetics of the band and elements from brutalist movements. Using a bolder font and halftone effect, the design was finalized to fully capture the first concept.
