Baku Caviar – Rebranding

Commercial for "Baku Caviar"

About the brand:
The production of sturgeon caviar began in Azerbaijan in 1954. This period coincided with industrial development, which led to pollution of the Caspian Sea, hindering the growth of sturgeon populations. In the same year, a factory was built in the Yenikend area of Neftchala district, at the confluence of the Kura and Aras rivers, near the nature reserve on the shores of the Caspian Sea, for the cultivation of sturgeon to counteract the decline in sturgeon populations. The successor of this factory, the Baku Caviar brand, not only continues the tradition of sturgeon caviar production in Azerbaijan but also aims to restore the Caspian Sea ecosystem. For every tin of caviar sold, the company releases 10 baby sturgeons into the sea.

The brand has been developed with a commercial purpose and is available for sale to interested companies.

The source of inspiration for the logo:
When designing the logo, I wanted to showcase the examples that inspired me in images. Looking at the words I highlighted as inspiration, such as fish, the waves of the sea, and the breeze, which are reminiscent of the winds that Baku is known for, I incorporated these elements into the logo. Since the brand is a local one but also recognized globally, I also took into account Baku's most significant landmark, the Maiden Tower, symbolically incorporating it into the logo. Most importantly, the convergence of the Kura and Aras rivers is reflected in the logo, representing the two branches coming together.

Corporate style:
The corporate style is based on the movement of waves on the water surface and the pattern formed when cutting fish.
