The Nesmeyana Princess

Re-narration of a fairy-tale
including visuals
Based on the Russian fairy tale "the Nesmeyana Princess"
Do you think about where God's light leads? In it, both rich and poor people live, and there is room for everyone. Yet, they are all scorned and judged by the Lord. In royal palaces and princely chambers, the beautiful Princess Nonsmiling lived. She had a luxurious life with everything her heart desired, but she never smiled or laughed, as if her heart found no joy.
It was painful for the king, her father, to see his sad daughter. He opened his royal chambers to anyone who wished to be his guest, saying, "Let them try to cheer Princess Nonsmiling; whoever succeeds will marry her." As soon as he said this, the people gathered at the princely gates! Princes and nobles, warriors and commoners—all came. Feasts began, honey flowed, but the princess still did not smile.
On the other side, in his corner, lived an honest worker. In the morning, he cleaned the courtyard, in the evenings, he grazed the cattle—constantly toiling. His wealthy master treated him fairly. When the year ended, the master put a bag of money on the table, saying, "Take as much as you want!" and left. The worker thought about not sinning before God and not taking more than he deserved. He chose only one coin, intended to take a sip of water, but the coin slipped from his hand into the well and sank.

The poor man was left with nothing. Another person might have cried and lamented, but not him. He said, "It's all from God; the Lord knows whom to give what. Perhaps, I miscalculated and did not work hard enough. Now I will be more diligent!" And he resumed his work with even greater enthusiasm.
When the year passed, and another bag of money was put on the table, he thought again about not offending God.

He took a coin, went to drink water, and accidentally dropped it into the well. Undeterred, he said, "Everything is God's will. Perhaps, I still need to work harder!" Once again, he dedicated himself to his work, and when the third year ended, his master said, "Take, worker, as much as your soul desires; your labor, your money!" and left.
The worker took one coin, went to the well to drink water, and found that the previous two coins had miraculously surfaced. Realizing that God had rewarded him for his hard work, he rejoiced and thought, "It's time for me to see the world, to recognize people!" So, he set off.Walking through fields, a mouse approached him, saying, "Dear friend, give me a coin; I will be useful to you!" He gave her a coin. In the forest, a beetle crawled up: "Dear friend, give me a coin; I will be useful to you!" He gave a coin to the beetle too. Crossing a river, he encountered a catfish: "Dear friend, give me a coin; I will be useful to you!" He didn't refuse and gave his last coin.

Finally, he reached the city, but overwhelmed by the multitude of people and doors, he didn't know where to go. Before him stood the royal palaces, adorned with silver and gold. Princess Nonsmiling was sitting by the window, looking straight at him. Nowhere to escape! His eyes blurred, he felt drowsy, and he fell right into the mud. Suddenly, a catfish with a large mustache, a beetle, and a mouse appeared. They cared for him, and the princess, observing their services, burst into laughter.
"Who, who cheered up my daughter?" asked the king. One said, "I did," another, "I did." But Princess Nonsmiling pointed at the worker. He immediately stood before the royal face, a hero among heroes! The king kept his royal word and rewarded him as promised. I say, did the worker not dream this in his sleep? They assure us that no, it was the true truth—so one must believe.
