Drawing to See: Twelve neighbors in Tokyo

Long Tailed Tit | Enaga | Aegithalos caudatus
In the middle of Tokyo, I connect with the more-than-human world and “draw” my attention towards other ways of being. I behold the flawless dive of the kingfisher. I notice the warbling white-eye shares my love for persimmons. I wonder what it’s like to be as vibrant as a mandarin duck. Who are your neighbors in your ecological community?

These drawings will be exhibited at The Nature of Cities Festival 2024 in Berlin.
