Our project was to create packaging for office/desk supplies. I chose to make a novelty disposable camera packaging, that later can be used as a desk organizer. I modeled the packaging after the Polaroid 1000 Land Camera. This packaging targets anyone nostalgic for analog cameras and film, and is easily crafted out of a couple of pieces of cardstock.
The back compartment of the camera serves as a pull-out drawer for any office or camera supplies to stash away. A pull tab resembling the iconic Polaroid rainbow serves for easy handling of the drawer.
The middle compartment is the space for the disposable camera. After the camera is used, this space can be used for more desk organization, or a safe place for another camera purchase.
The front drawer's purpose is to store the developed photos and processed film from the disposable camera. It is a replica of how pictures develop from a Polaroid. Standard 4x6 photos, or any other safe keepings can be easily placed into this pull-out drawer, which also has a tab for easier access.
