The Netherlands Factbook has been a trip in creating it. I wanted to take artistic liberty with its designs while keeping it informational.

Primarily laying out the design on this thing was the least of my worries. Before this I'd never done any kind of editorial project, so I had A LOT to learn. I started with divvying the information and making it into a readable format.

From there, we went in to formatting pages and further sorting our data. I came up with an idea to merge a graphic of the Netherlands in with my introduction. I though it looked pretty good them, but ended up shifting to a bit more of a photographic style before the end of it because the headers didn't "pop" enough in my opinion.

Finally after a lot of editing, shifting, and a fair amount of fighting with spell check because Dutch isn't in my "dictionary" I have some finished spreads that I'm happy with
