Statement of Intent – Week 3, Pegs
The audience for my image set is visitors to a website who are looking for clothes pegs and I intend for the audience to feel that the product (a set of pegs with a design printed onto them) is exactly what they want. The images will be similar to the online peg product images that have inspired me but will go further, to show not just their practical benefits but also show them as a desirable lifestyle object.
Six product photographs from a commercial genre, depicting a clear narrative illustrating the uses and benefits of the pegs in order to sell them:

Another use – closing a packet of frozen peas
Some of the images will be captured outdoors mid-afternoon, in windy conditions to show the pegs being used. Some will be captured indoors in studio conditions to show the pegs close up. The images will be staged to achieve a realistic view of the usage of the pegs and capture the simplicity, versatility and strength of the peg, as well as the design that makes it a desirable object.
