"HERSELF" COSMETIC LABELS
In 2019, I was invited to create illustrations and label designs for a Polish sustainable cosmetics brand.
The product, crafted under a different name in the spirit of self-care and body positivity, eventually didn't make it onto shop shelves.
This is a refreshed design, based on the original ideas of sisterhood and sustainability.
Drawings of women caring for their bodies, accompanied by handwritten information, evoke a feeling of intimacy.
Initially inspired by the "Intimate" linocut print series, they are drawn with a few yet powerful brushstrokes, mimicking the technique of carving into a linocut matrix.
Each illustration comprises only two basic colours, representing two plant-based cosmetic ingredients.
The body colour results from a blend of the two.
