Pam's Coffy Crunch Cereal

Hollywood is never short on cafes, even themed ones. When Quentin Tarantino announced he had purchased the Vista Theatre, no one could have expected that the accompanying retail space would be turned into a cafe. Much less a themed one. But sure enough once the Vista was back, Pam's Coffy emerged.
A cafe honoring Pam Grier's character from the Blaxploitation film of the same name, Pam's Coffy is Tarantino honoring that character in the form of his favorite coffee. But not only do they serve coffee, they also serve cereal by the bowl!
While I was there one day, the employees mentioned how cool it would be to have a cereal based off Coffy herself. To which I replied, "you just gave me an idea and now I have to do it!"
Here are a few sample pictures of the cafe itself, which I used for inspiration regarding the cereal box design following.
Based off classic still poses from the film, I replaced a popular one where Coffy is holding a shotgun and gave her a giant spoon full of cereal. The base idea for this follows many of the recent parody cereal box art that has come out due to popularity but also tapping into the the original box art of the 60s. So I used a variation of these as a moodboard of sorts to focus in on my idea.
I wanted to focus less on the extras as many new parody box art pieces included marshmallow bits referencing the theme, I wanted to keep it closer to real retro art as possible. Below is the finished result as there really wasn't that much variation in this idea to begin with. All that was different was a different pose in the beginning that shifted into the more in your face spoon.
And a few mocked up images to fit the cereal on an actual counter using a mix of stock images and some Adobe generative fill...to mixed results but still managed to convey what I wanted in the end!
