Anime Project
Last year in my first semester, we were given the task to create a piece of art replicating the same techniques as a well-known designer uses when they create work. I decided to replicate Miklós Kiss's art style.
We were told to differentiate our project's subject to allow there to be some discrepancies between our project and a piece the designer had made. My approach to this was to make the lines of my subject to be more rough and feel more comic-book-esque (I don't know if that's a word), and to actually draw a face in the piece, as Miklós projects rarely show a full face and instead only show mouths.
This project was purely done in Illustrator, using tools such as the shape builder, pathfinder tool, the paintbrush tool and the pen tool.
