Dub Fiction Spain Party (Portugal -> Salamanca) Road Trip..

Dia 29 (Sexta-Feira) iniciamos os preparativos para a grande viagem Lisboa -> Salamanca (Espanha),

alguns mantimentos (Aguas, Sumos Bolachas e guloseimas) foram armazenadas na arca frigorifica, para nos pormos na estrada a caminho do grande evento que nos esperava em Espanha.

Friday the 29th we started preparing for the big road trip from Lisbon to Salamanca (Spain). 

Some food supplies were gathered and saved on the cold box, so we could get our selfs on the road and on the way to the big event awaiting us in Spain.

Começamos a viagem Sábado de madrugada dia 30, (1:30AM) com calma, carro carregado e rebaixado, não havia espaço para a grandes aventuras e loucuras na estrada.

Fartamo-nos de passar por portagens, pórticos, Scuts e todas as maneiras possíveis e imaginarias de pagar por estradas que pelo estado em que se encontram não deveriam de ser pagas.

Saturday the 30th early morning (1:30AM) we started our trip, chilled no rush, car was packed and lowered, there wasn't room for foolishness and big adventures on the road.

We passed through so many Tolls and loads of ways to make us pay for the roads that we were going through, those roads that by the conditions that they were shouldn't be paid at all.

A percorrer os 356Km's de GPS passando pela auto-estrada A1, A23 e A25 até Vilar Formoso.

Depois de um dia de trabalho e um dia super atarefado, estes 356Km's até à fronteira não estavam a ser pêra doce, efectuamos algumas paragens pelo caminho para esticar as pernas e trocar-mos de condutor e mesmo assim estávamos exaustos embora entusiasmados, eufóricos e ansiosos por lá chegar e conhecer toda a malta que por lá ia parar.

Going through 356Km's of GPS passing by the high way A1, A23 and A25 up to Vilar Formoso. 

After a busy and full day of work like the one we previously had, this 356Km's weren't that sweet cake to achieve, we made a few stops along the way to rest a few minutes, stretch the legs and change driver.

We where exhausted but stocked, euphoric and anxious, we couldn't wait more to get there and get to know everyone that would be attending to the show.

Já se fazia dia quando chegávamos perto de Espanha, podemos contemplar o óptimo nascer do sol a prometer um dia excelente de calor e céu limpo. A qualidade das estradas começava a melhorar e o piso a ficar mais uniforme e macio, estava tudo a correr bem e do nosso agrado.

The day was rising as we were getting close to Spain, we could enjoy the great sun rise promising an excellent day of heat and clean sky. The quality of the roads started to get way better and regular, the tarmac being smooth and fresh, everything was going as planned and up to our expectations.

Cruzamos a fronteira e logo fizemos festa desse mesmo acontecimento com palavras aleatórias em Castelhano/Espanhol em tom de alegria e festa de um objectivo superado sem quaisquer problemas de estrada ou chatices que pudessem surgir pelo caminho.

 

Chegamos a Cidade De Rodrigo, local onde nos iríamos encontrar com a comitiva "StanceDubs" 

tivemos mais uma hora para dormir, petiscar qualquer coisa e recarregar baterias antes de mais umas horas de viagem até Salamanca.

Sem internet, sem qualquer possibilidade de fazer updates da nossa viagem nas redes sociais sem querer optar pelo Roaming, fomos todos em busca de um bom restaurante para ser feita uma alimentação como deve de ser antes de mais 150Km's até ao evento.

We crossed the border and straight away with random Spanish words we made the party, celebrating a goal settled with no problems what so ever on the road, no problems with the car that could eventually happen, everything was running smooth. 

 

We arrived to Ciudad De Rodrigo, location where we were going to meet our friends from "StanceDubs", finally we could rest for an hour, to have snack and recharge batteries before a couple more hours of trip to Salamanca. 

With no Internet or any other possibility of updating the status of our journey on the Social Networks without wanting to spend fortunes on roaming, we all headed up to find a good restaurant to have a descent meal before doing more 150Km's up to the event.

Tivemos tempo para as brincadeiras do costume, fotografar em andamento, fazer peripécias e brincadeiras parvas, fazer sinais obscenos uns aos outros, dar imensas gargalhadas e conseguir bom material para mais tarde recordar… 

 

[ENG]

We had time on the way for the usual stupid stuff e do on any rod trip, photographing the cars rolling down the highway, making funny faces and hand gestures to our friends on the convoy, loads of laughter and plenty of good material to later on remember…

À medida que nos aproximávamos de Alba de Tormes local onde se realizava o evento "Dub Fiction Spain Party" o cenário começava a ser outro, parecia algo como o Texas ou Arizona? algo bastante americano que vemos nos filmes e em tantas outras referências. 

Conseguimos dar com o local, começávamos a arregalar os olhos para a quantidade de projectos e para as pessoas que nos olhavam a chegar e levantavam a mão na cinalética de aprovação dos projectos.. 

Já éramos esperados pela equipa/organização do evento..

Tinha chegado a comitiva Portuguesa à area "StanceDubs" e "InStatic" pisaram o recinto com bons projectos para mostrar e com boa energia e gargalhadas, como qualquer parvo português de bom humor o faria.

As we got close to Alba de Tormes location where the event "Dub Fiction Spain Party" was happening, the scenery start to change a bit, the roads and the view kinda looked something like Texas or Arizona? Something dry and very american that we see on the movies or few other references. 

We made it to the spot, we started getting impressed with the amount of good cars, and for all the people seeing us arrive and throwing us approval signs to the projects we rolled in. 

We were already awaited by the spanish crew/staff of the event…

The Portuguese team had arrived to the area, "StanceDubs" & "InStatic" stepped in the premisses with good projects to show, with good vibe and energy like any other happy Portuguese folk would do.

O recinto estava muito bem localizado, a organização impec' e o espaço era completamente espectacular, tinha um espirito bastante acolhedor e familiar, com espaço para acampar em redor do ponto central de exposição dos veículos. 

Estavam mais participantes a chegar com mais bons projectos, a qualidade via-se presente no evento, tanto da parte de maioria dos participantes como por parte da equipa encarregue da organização do evento.

The spot was really well located, the organization was impeccable, and the premisses was completely awesome, it had a very cosy and family type of spirit, with space to camp around the central point of exhibition of the cars. 

The participants kept on arriving from other cities of Spain, and also Portugal and other places, the quality was present in the event and in most of the projects that were there for exhibition as for the crew responsible for the organization of the event.

Na manhã seguinte viam-se algumas pessoas e a actividade matinal de higiene pessoal, pequeno almoço, e o passeio pelo recinto na observação dos projectos lá presentes..

The next morning we could se some people around and the morning activities of personal hygiene, breakfast and the early walk through the projects when everything is more calm.

[PT]

Podemos ver algumas marcas e representantes, com alguns dos seus produtos em exposição, algumas que nos chamaram mais à atenção como a "DamnRaw" marca de Jantes Espanhola especializada em conjuntos personalizados de alta qualidade, algo que pode competir directamente com Rotiform, CCW, entre tantas outras marcas de qualidade semelhante.

We could see some brands representing some of their products and projects in exhibition, some brands caught our eye like "DamnRaw" Spanish brand of custom made wheels, with an excellent quality capable of competing directly with Rotiform, CCW and a few others with the same type of quality and service.

[PT] 

O dia esteve óptimo, com sol, e bom clima, musica a tocar o dia todo, todos os intervenientes e toda a gente envolvida a conviver com os demais, partilharem ideias historias e experiências entre si. 

A InStatic esteve a elaborar algumas sessões fotográficas pelo decorrer do dia, campanha semelhante à "North Session's" mas com projectos espanhóis, pré selecionados para o efeito. 

Haviam várias coisas a acontecer em simultâneo…

The day was great, plenty of sun, good weather, music playing all day, every one involved socializing, sharing stories ideas and experiences in a good and friendly way. 

InStatic was during that day too doing Photo Session's similar to the campaign "North Session's" but this time with only Pre-Selected Spanish projects.

There were various things happening at the same time, the day was full…

O momento esperado por muitos, a entrega de prémios e saber quais foram os projectos considerados os melhores do evento.

Sem duvida alguma que foram muito bem escolhidos, a qualidade e bom gosto dos mesmo estava bem apurada, a organização conseguiu ter uns troféus que faziam jus' ao evento.

Conseguimos contar com 3 projectos Portugueses premiados.

The moment that many were waiting for, the prize attributions, and knowing who was considered the best of the event. 

With no doubt that the projects that made it to the Top list were really well picked, where quality and good taste was on point. The DubFiction Crew also surprised us with such fine Trophies, that made total Justice to the event it self. 

We gladly had 3 prized portuguese projects in the top list.

Estamos gratos pela hospitalidade e por todo o apoio fornecido à nossa comitiva, por nos terem tratado como família e estarem dispostos e prontos a ajudar a que hora fosse e em que situação fosse.. 

Tanto pelas pessoas da organização como o estabelecimento responsável pela restauração e parque de campismo, que nos serviram e conviveram connosco durante o fim de semana de festa.. 

Ansiamos por repetir mais um evento espectacular como este que foi o "Dub Fiction Spain Party".

We are thankful for the hospitality and for all the support given to our Portuguese crew to "Stance Dubs" & "InStatic" for taking care of us and taking us in as a family member.. for being there ready to help in any occasion or situation at any time needed. 

Also to the people responsible for the catering and for the camping area, for taking care of us during the weekend for partying with us and being our new friends. 

We can't wait for next year's edition of this awesome event "Dub Fiction Spain Party".

A caminho da volta aproveitamos para conhecer um pouco as ruas de Salamanca, apreciar a arquitectura e toda a atmosfera da cidade, que num domingo estava excelente! 

Calma, bonita divertida e interessante, completamente recomendada nesta altura do ano.

On the way back we took some time to visit the city and the streets of Salamanca, to observe and appreciate a bit of the culture and architectonics of the city and all of its brilliant atmosphere of an excellent sunday afternoon!

Calm, graceful funny and full of life, we completely recommend a trip to Salamanca on this time of the year.

Ja começava a ser noite, caia o por do sol, e lá estávamos nos em mais uma viagem de tantos Km's de volta a casa de volta a Portugal, óptima foi toda esta viagem.

The night was starting to fall as the Sun Set was passing by, and there we were once again in a big trip back home back to our Portugal, and what a great journey it was.
