In a warmly lit workshop, a young apprentice and a craftsman were working on a toy tin soldier. This tin soldier was the first toy that the young boy made, so it's far from perfect. The tin soldier's joints often creaked when the arms or legs were moved.

Thus, most of the time, the little tin soldier would stubbornly hold himself still and would only look straight forward when the little apprentice tried to play with it. Exasperated, the little apprentice sought his master out for some advice on how to fix the poor little toy. What the young boy thought would be a few quick notes about which part was wrong soon turned into a lengthy full lecture that enlightened him in another way....
