Case Study: Shark Encounter
This is one of my favorite photographs. I captured it while shark diving in Haleiwa. Capturing marine life through my lens is a passion of mine, and I’m particularly pleased with how this photo turned out. On the day I went, there weren’t many sharks, and they initially stayed quite far from our boat. It took some time before they came closer. One shark, in particular, approached very close, allowing me to take some remarkable photos. I also enjoy the post-processing stage, where I spend time adjusting the colors to achieve the most accurate representation. Taking this photo was challenging; I had to simultaneously keep an eye on the sharks, maintain the camera’s framing, and remember to take deep breaths periodically.
