OVERVIEW
Dr. Martens are known for their durability and edgy style. They were originally designed by a doctor in Germany after World War II to help with his ankle pain, and they have become a fashion staple ever since.
STRATEGY
I started by researching the brand and audience. The brief included that the ad should focus on integrating a visual metaphor. I was really inspired by the stitch in the shoe, as this is what I always think of when asking what their signature is. This brought me to come up with the concept of "Every stitch tells a story." This is referring to the idea of walking your own path, and everyone has their own journey- this really sells the concept of individualism, which the brand is known for.
This prototype was created for a class project, with no affiliation to Dr. Martens.
