I designed a watch face for the Pebble called Ergonomix I that is meant the be read from a resting position. Bending ones arm to check the time is not only unnecessary effort but sends a social signal that could read negatively. The design is also more comfortable to look at because the ambient light sensor in the Pebble adjusts to a composition responsive to its current environment. In a dark room the dark watch face is displayed for optimal readability and visual comfort and alternately the light design displays in brightly lit areas.
