Development of the illustrations for the magazine (for the guide cover and for the first story in the guide                                "Looking for two flat illustrations by Saturday.
We are looking for a simple illustration for the guide cover, and a more intricate landscape illustration for the first story in the guide."
The central metafors to draw off is a bank trying  to save itself from destruction. I could see something with a classical bank bulding and wrecking ball, or with the roof barely balancing on a greek column.
Every week we will be  published a guide to a different topic/industry. Think  of this as a magazine issue. The guide will contain 5  or so stories. released over the course of the week – Monday overview of the state of play, a Q&A with  an important member of the industry, a list  of esential charts, anessay on what it means to you, and a toolkit.
The guide will have a magazine-like cover, and will appear in the above two scenarios. The aesthetic and type treatment is open — we prefer each week to be slightly different, but for the illustrations within a particular week to have similar aesthetics.
These are the important things to keep in mind:
-the background color should be dark enough that white text can be placed on top of it legibly
-the content should be visually simple, understandable at small sizes but still compelling at large sizes
-it should be possible to integrate the title of the guide into the cover (the art director can help with this part)
-the content can bleed off the edge, but i will need a copy with all of the elements uncropped
