We were instructed to design a book cover that was type-focused. I chose to turn the title of my book, The Metamorphosis, into a beetle shape to reflect the book's plot of the narrator turning into a bug. I went with dark browns since I felt they fit the moodiness of the book and the feeling of the narrator being trapped inside, and I used a pop of light brown in the pattern on the flaps to add visual interest, and white for the text and logo to differentiate it from the imagery.
