RAÍCES XXI (Music & Wine Festival) Visual Identity

"Raíces XXI" is a festival created by the Rioja Culture Centre and it´s dedicated to traditional and folk music in connection with contemporary culture of the 21st century.

Efforts are made for the traditional music to come from territories with viticultural tradition. The festival focuses especially on the musical heritage of the Iberian tradition, later also providing space for proposals from other parts of the world, always linked to territories with viticultural culture. Music and wine have always been part of popular culture and have been linked as part of our way of celebrating life.

The color palette is inspired by the bold hues of the flag of La Rioja, as the festival takes place in the city of Logroño, capital of the region. The main images are taken from 19th-century portraits with modern elements to link them with the present time. But perhaps the most distinctive element of the visual identity lies in the incorporation of wine containers as a symbol of this viticultural legacy. From rustic barrels to elegant bottles, these vessels serve as a window to experience music and culture, mirroring the festival's commitment to honoring the past while embracing the future.
