LED PLANTER
In this project I was tasked with creating an LED planter and fully manufacturer the project solely ABS plastics from the research we did.

In this collage I narrowed it down and did some research to my main 3 planter designs where we brainstorm and provide ways to improve leading up to the final plant
Ideation
The idea of creating an LED planter was introduced to us and this is the stage when we were asked to doodle and create ideation sketches of how we would want our mockups to the LED planter to look like.
Detailed Ideation Of 3 Mockups
At this point we were tasked with making 3 mockups and detailed sketches to showcase our ideas of the LED planter.
Final Prototype Sketches
After coming up with 3 mockups ideas we had to pick our best option of the planter we were going to make and design the final sketches for that LED planter.
3 LED Planter Mockups
At this stage after making our ideation sketches, we had to execute and make mockups of the 3 LED planter ideas we came up with and try bringing them to life.
Final LED Planter Mockup
The final mockup is where you put all your adjustments and what you have learned from making other mockups into one and try to improve on what you have already made, and you have declared it your final mockup to be made into a prototype.
LED Planter Prototype
This is the final product of the research and ideation of the LED planter, and this is the outcome of all those things combined. The LED planter had to have an LED strip which shined light onto the herbs, and this was the testing faze to see if it would turn on.
Reflection
I had some difficulties with starting the LED planter with ABS plastic and especially having to incorporate a curve into my design because of how hard and easy to snap ABS plastic is if push too much to its limits. In all actuality, the ABS prototype was much easier to make for me compared to the Triplex prototype shoe, but I learned a lot from both and I'm glad I got the opportunity to learn these skills to add to my portfolio for when I finish the course.
