Space Race Animation
This project was an animated short for one of my classes.
We were tasked with creating a 45-second animated short in
After Effects. The premise of the short was three spaceships
racing in space when one of the ships gets hit with an object
and crashes on a planet, where it finds a city to explore.
As this was a final project, I wanted to put as much effort
into it as I could. It took a while to think of how I wanted to layout
the scenes to make everything fit within the 45-second
time frame. While animating, I realized that my initial plan was
not going to fit within the 45-second time frame. However, with
some tweaking, I was able to fit most of what I wanted. I was
able to cut some scenes down to allow for enough screen time
without making each scene feel rushed. This project was
probably one of my best in that class.
