Contours of Heritage: Minimalist Maps of Puglia's Cities
In this exclusive Behance project, I delve into the heart of Puglia, a region of unending allure, to create a series of graphic posters that celebrate the beauty and complexity of its most emblematic cities: Bari, Otranto, and Lecce. These pieces stem from my deep-seated passion for graphic design and a profound personal connection to this land, steeped in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
Puglia, with its shores kissed by crystalline waters, ancient olive groves, and cities rich in history, has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me. I am particularly captivated by the intricate urban layouts of its cities, each with a unique story shaped by the influences of various Mediterranean cultures.
With "Contours of Heritage," my aim was to transform the urban maps of Bari, Otranto, and Lecce into veritable works of graphic art. Each poster is the culmination of a meticulous process of remodeling and adaptation, where minimalist lines intertwine to sketch not just streets but the history, traditions, and soul of these cities.
Bari, with its labyrinthine alleys of the old town; Otranto, a gateway to the East nestled between sea and rock; and Lecce, the baroque jewel of southern Italy, have been reimagined through the lens of contemporary design while retaining a strong connection to their historical and cultural essence.
This project represents a bridge between the past and present, a way to explore and rediscover Puglia through the eyes of a designer who lives and breathes its atmosphere every day. It's an invitation to travel through time, guided by lines and colors, immersing ourselves in a visual exploration that transcends the conventional.

This work is much more than a graphic design project; it's a tribute to Puglia, its cities, and their indomitable beauty, narrated through the purity of graphic minimalism.
