Gloria Stella Ristorante

About this project

Client: Micaela Maltinti Design Studio
Art Director: Micaela Maltinti
Branding development for an fictitious Italian Art Deco restaurant called "Gloria Stella". This includes the brand, its guidelines and graphic pieces that a restaurant would need such as a website, a menu, among others.
The style is inspired by the Italian Art Deco from the 1930s. With the idea in mind of a very elegant yet familiar restaurant willing to open its doors to good times, excellent food, and even better conversations.
This project comes to life as the answer to the question: How would it be if my family had decided to own a restaurant? As a kid, I loved eating my Nonna's pasta and enjoyed spending time with her and her siblings playing cards and board games. My grandmother and her siblings were born in Italy during the 1930s, hence the epoch inspiration. Gloria Stella, born in 1938, is my great aunt (my grandmother’s sister) . Today, at 86 years old, she still plays games with me every time I go to Argentina to visit.
