LaĀ CaĆda Editorial me invitĆ³Ā a ilustrar la portada del libro "Erma", de la gran escritora ecuatoriana Camila PeƱa,Ā MĆ”ster en Estudios ArtĆsticos, Literarios y de la Cultura. Ganadora delĀ II Premio de PoesĆa Hispanoamericana Francisco Ruiz Udiel.
En los poemas de Camila PeƱa el cuerpo atraviesa un viaje de vuelta a su estado germinal; la palabra escarba en la memoria hacia un descubrimiento de lo sagrado. La vida que ebulle en el fondo de todo lo natural, el gesto que da nacimiento al lenguaje, la pequeƱez del ser en el mar del absoluto son los paisajes que dibuja la poeta en estos fragmentos de āErmaā, su segundo poemario:
"Desde el material transparente se miran, la mujer pasea sus dedos por la membrana, la gƔrgola intenta destrozarla con sus garras, salir del capullo. Cuelgan del recuerdo de un Ɣrbol. Sus cunas estƔn hechas de saliva de dios, de lo que sale de un cuerpo cuando muere. Se miran: intentan alcanzarse. Al nacer olvidarƔn sus rostros, se reconocerƔn por primera vez."

In Camila PeƱa's poems the body goes through a journey back to its germinal state; The word digs into memory towards a discovery of the sacred. The life that bubbles at the bottom of everything natural, the gesture that gives birth to language, the smallness of being in the sea of āāthe absolute are the landscapes that the poet draws in these fragments of 'Erma', her second collection of poems:"From the transparent material they look at each other, the woman runs her fingers over the membrane, the gargoyle tries to destroy it with its claws, to get out of the cocoon. They hang from the memory of a tree. Their cradles are made of god's saliva, from what comes out of a body when it dies. They look at each other: they try to reach each other. At birth they will forget their faces, they will recognize each other for the first time."
