Around the time I created this, I found myself incredibly inspired by the band "The Amazing Devil". So, I decided to illustrate Madeleine Hyland, one of the singers of the band. The portrait is a combination of watercolor and gouache. In all the promotional images for the album 'That Unwanted Animal', she has a very striking red lipstick, and I wanted to show that with it being the only instance of color.
