We spent two days on the lake exploring many of the side canyons.
Back Side of Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona. It holds back a lot of water giving Utah, (a desert state) More shore line than anyother state in the continental US. The water is rather low this year due to the drought. Where the color changes on the clifs is the highwater mark.
Navajo power plant in the distance. Generating powere for California. Homes on the reservation are without power.
Hole in the Rock. In 1879 A group of pioneers brought large wagons down this slide area between the clifs so they could get across the Colorado River.
