KALK
The project KALK is a conceptual design born out of inspiration drawn from the structures of limestone quarries. It emerges as a visual manifesto of level, flow, and light, three key aspects explored in the analysis of architectural projects. The purpose of this project was to create a space for in-depth analysis, leading to the development of a concept that was then studied with a focus on these three aspects: level, flow, and light.

Level, symbolizing both horizontal and vertical dimensions, is reflected in the structural design of the building. Flow, representing movement and dynamics, is integrated into the design to create a smooth and functional environment. Light, crucial for atmosphere and experience, generates various moods and emotions through the interplay of light and shadow.

Using a combination of a model in cardboard and three illustrations in charcoal, I have graphically represented the significance of each aspect in the project.
The setting is an old cement factory that played a significant role in the industrial development of Limhamn, where the limestone quarry has been a central part of its success. This became the foundation for the architectural concept and later for the conceptual design.
