하현상 <Time and Trace>앨범 디자인, 2023

하현상 첫번째 정규앨범 <Time and Trace>를 디자인했습니다. 싱어송라이터의 완성도 높은 작업물을 어떻게 강조할까 고민하면서 구성품 '컴포지션 노트(Composition Note)'라는 콘셉트를 제안했습니다. 아티스트의 여정과 창작 과정을 증명하는 곡들을 하나하나 꼼꼼하게 정리해보자는 아이디어 였습니다. 평량이 낮은 용지를 활용해 팬들의 리뷰와 메시지가 축적될 수 있는 인터랙티브 공간을 만들고자 했으며, 팬들의 메세지도 앨범의 내러티브로서 흔적이 되었으면 좋겠다고 생각했습니다.

I designed Ha Hyun-sang's first full-length album, <Time and Trace>. In contemplating how best to highlight the exceptional craftsmanship of a singer-songwriter, we collectively devised the concept of the "Composition Note." The goal was to meticulously arrange the songs, each serving as a testament to the artist's journey and creative process. Utilizing thin paper for its back cover, we aimed to create an interactive space where fans' reviews and messages could accumulate, contributing to the album's narrative as a trace of their engagement.
