As a team, we had a few Google Meet sessions to discuss our plan for this project. Our teammates had a lot of ideas such as stories about a paper puppet cat coming to life, a baby pufferfish becoming friends with an old whale, a lonely prime minister becoming friends with his flying car and a child with a haunted doll.

 

 Although we had a few creative brains, we had to settle on just one story, which is a story about Bunbun, a baby pufferfish trying to escape from a fisherman’s trap. She managed to escape and found a suitable hiding spot; an old dirty cave. She decided to clean up the mess while she was hiding there. Few moments later, she felt like it’s finally time to go home. So she then got out of the cave, discovering the cave was not actually a cave. It was actually an ancient whale goddess’s mouth, The Grandwhale! The whale goddess thanked Bunbun and they became best buddies.

 

The title of this story is A Mythical Encounter. For this story, we have two characters which are Bunbun and Grandwhale. The story takes place in the ocean. Our teammates all agreed to use cutout animation for this stop-motion. As for the materials, we decided to use felt paper for the characters and eva foam for the background and props.
