This photo shoot is based on a Greek myth about Pygmalion who creates a sculpture of beauty and names her Galatea. He prays to Venus that she will come to life. Venus grants his request and some versions of the story have them get married. Here Galatea is shown just as she is transformed to a living person. I've done two versions of this. The one with the bluish cast is in the moment of transformation. I prefer the natural colors though transformation is a theme that comes up from time to time in my art.
