Redesign of the packaging of KriKo brand vitamins

KriKo is a modern brand of biologically active nutritional supplements containing collagen and vitamin C. Useful substances of the product help strengthen immunity and are effectively absorbed by the body.  The manufacturer guarantees 100% natural composition, which provides a complex of beauty and health. 

Task
The producer of the KriKo brand applied to us for redesigning the packaging of dietary supplements in order to increase the effectiveness of the design and make it more attractive to the consumer. The Getbrand team was tasked with updating the visual appearance of the product packaging, strengthening the brand's positioning and making it visible not only on store shelves, but also among competitors on marketplaces. 

Solution

Visual communication is one of the most important forms of brand-consumer interaction. That's why you need an effective package design that could not only interest, but also tell about all the advantages of the product to convince the buyer to make a choice in favor of it. To assess the effectiveness of commercial design, we conduct an audit using the author's "Three Layers of Effectiveness" tool.

In order to identify the growth points of KriKo brand packaging appearance, our experts conducted such an audit, which showed a low result. The old design did not translate the main properties of the product in any way and caused an erroneous association with sports nutrition products. The logo was weakly expressed, so the consumer had difficulties in memorizing the brand. All layers - visual, contextual and conversion - had to be worked on and brought to high performance.

Before starting the actual design, our experts defined the brand's territory using our patented, comprehensive Growth Platform® tool, which combines customer aspirations and the obstacles that stand in the way of those aspirations. This helped us determine that the brand should communicate values such as comfort, control and care as it relates to human health.  

The updated look of the brand perfectly conveys its positioning - the packaging features a sufficient number of key brand benefits. At the same time, the design features softening design elements that help to get away from the boring medical context. The expressive letter "K" attracts attention with its size and smoothed corners.  At the base of the logo is the lettering, which is in lowercase rather than uppercase letters, evoking a friendlier brand. The bright key accent is the leaf, which references the naturalness of the supplements but doesn't take away from the expertise. 

Memorable and pleasing colors help create a convenient differentiation system - the letter can be recolored depending on the type of product of the brand. This also helps the consumer to easily orientate in the lineup. 

The design turned out to be bright, which helps to stand out against the background of competitors on marketplaces, and when scrolling the consumer will definitely not miss the brand.
