The goal on this project was to design a magazine including layout, typography, and imagery. Black Parade was created as a publication that would bring awareness to, and provide representation for people of color in the alternative fashion community.
This spread covers the fashion of the well-known Afropunk event. It provides information on the alternative subcultures such as Afrogoth and Afrogrunge. Popular alternative music artist Rico Nasty is featured on the cover.
I used used a combination of African and alternative colors and typography as well as imagery from the Afropunk event.
