Glorious Grids Assignment

Objectives- Using only the set of geometric primitives attached, you will select any living creature as a subject and create three compositions with it that use three different levels of detail: low-poly, medium-poly, and high-poly.

Design Rules, Skills, and Tools- 

Using only the modular shapes provided in the “Glorious Grid Template,” render three different versions of the creature at three different levels of detail:

Low-poly at 7:9 or 9:7

Medium-poly at 12:14 or 14:12

High-poly at 14:18 or 18:14

Try to fill the whole framework provided

Personal Insight- I needed clarification on this assignment, but I began to enjoy the work as I moved on to more detailed designs. I had fun layering the different shapes and figuring out what worked and what did not. With the flamingo design being high-poly, I originally had the body just various colors randomly throughout the body. However, after stepping back, I decided to make it more of an ombre look, going from more saturated pink to light pink. This assignment was very useful in learning about how specific shapes work together under certain constraints, such as artboard size or shapes available.
