Real Estate Walkthrough - Lerderderg Street

Real Estate Walkthrough - Lerderderg Street
Client: Pat Rice and Hawkins

This video was produced by myself and my partner under Transfix Media.

This took a full day to shoot including travel time. We used a Black Cat Cranes mini-jib in order to expand on shot dynamics and emphasize the sense of space.
We shot on an Sony EX3 so light was never an issue. We went in with a set of 800w Arri redheads and they never left the box. All shots were naturally lit, allowing us to focus on shot dynamics.

A brief project outline:
Introductory shot.
This was a difficult shot to balance. We wanted to really express the feeling of nature just outside the window, but balancing the exterior and interior turned out very tough. We opted to lose more detail inhighlights outside rather than throwing more shadow into the kitchen.
There was no question in the use of the mini-jib in this shot. The only way we could truly express the size of this shed was to have sweeping and rising shots.
We brought in the owner to take a few shots on the golf green, adding a personal element to the video.
We designed this shot to show the size of the property. You get a feeling of freedom with sky filling half the image.
This was my favorite shot of the day. It allowed me to really test how small we could get the depth of field on the standard EX3 lens.
To transition the video to the dusk shots we set the camera on a timelapse out on the grass. This was the first timelapse we attempted for a commercial production.
All footage was captured by us and all editing was done in our Adobe CS4 editing suite.
