I was captivated by the intricate art of traditional Chinese paper cutting. In this work, I explored the interplay between positive and negative spaces. I carved patterns into seven pieces of cardboard and arranged them in a frame. The
layering created a delicate landscape reminiscent of my hometown. Illuminated by LED lights, the piece casts shadows that evoke the contrasting effects of a year’s different seasons.
