Experts suggest that human beings emerged 250,000 years ago, along with the art of cooking. What if all the gastronomic knowledge refined over thousands of years could be centralized in one place?
That's the purpose of Flavor.
Flavor's Smart Cook Assistance consolidates knowledge and streamlines all processes essential to the act that defines our humanity.
MOODBOARD
Introducing our Moodboard for Flavor's Smart Cook Assistant project. It features vector illustration frames reflecting our desired art direction, emphasizing functionality and adaptability for digital product integration.
The Moodboard maintains visual coherence and meets the brand's communicative goals while showcasing a blend of traditional and modern animation techniques for an engaging user experience.
CONCEPT
To ensure alignment with the fictitious client's brand, our focus was on developing all illustrations with gastronomy as the central theme. The illustration set draws inspiration from a combination of cave paintings, low poly digital art and flat design style. The construction of the icons was carefully planned and subsequently vectorized using Figma.
ILLUSTRATION
Inspired by the gastronomic consumption culture across various countries and mindful of a diverse target audience, I incorporated elements of kitchenware, beverages, and utensils from different cultural backgrounds. This approach aimed to establish visual coherence across the diverse range of icons.
ANIMATION
For the animation set, blending the organic qualities of the illustration style, I chose to utilize low frame rate animations (12fps), enabling manual shaping of the icons' forms.
The animations were crafted entirely within Fable, making use of its integration tools and exploring the software's potential for creating versatile and functional motion.
All the animations have been designed to work perfectly in lottie integration for digital products.
