One of the most beautiful places that Szczecin offers to tourists is the observation deck on the Odra River.
Shafts chrobry, also known as Haken's Terrace, is an architectural work designed and built according to the concept of Wilhelm Meyer-Schwartau in the years 1902–1921 on the initiative of Mayor Hermann Haken.
Previously, there was an 18th-century Fort Leopold in this area, which was demolished in the 19th century.
This architectural gem of Szczecin, together with other adjacent buildings, creates an amazing image of this city.
The Chrobry Embankments survived World War II without major damage and still delight tourists and city residents alike.
The terrace complex is currently included in the register of immovable monuments.
If you are ever in Poland, I encourage you to visit this place. This is an impressive piece of Polish history.
